FAO visits CPF's contract farming operation

Mr. Carlos A.da Silva, Senior Contract Farming Expert of the United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), led a group of trainers in its workshop on contract farming to visit Nongwa Agricultural Village in Chachengsao province, which is the successful management contract farming model initiated by Charoen Pokphand Group. They can learn more on contract farming system, in which manage by Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL (CPF). Mr.Narong Jieamjaibunjong, CPF's Senior Vice President, together with Mr.Pakdee Thaisiam, Chairman of Nongwa Village, jointly provided information to those visitors from seven Asian countries including Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Nepal and Bhutan. They will transfer contract farming practice they learned from the village as a model to develop contract farming in their countries afterwards./
