Bangkok – January 17, 2017: Navneet Gems & Minerals, a leading Thai supplier of fine gemstones and jewelry, have gone from cutting gemstones for the local market to distributing their products globally in a short span of time. Located on Bangkok’s historic Silom Road, this company’s expansion into foreign markets has brought fine Thai gem cutting to the world—their first tradeshow of 2017 will be one of the industry’s largest, JOGS Tucson Gem and Jewelry Show, which takes place annually in Tucson, USA. Founded in 1993 by Managing Director, Mr. Suresh Agarwal, Navneet Gems & Minerals has come a long way. The company is now a global player and yet he has not forgotten about his business’ Thai roots.
“When I established Navneet Gems & Minerals in 1993, there were only five people who supplied the world with gemstones,” explained Mr. Agarwal. “I started working in this industry in India at the age of 19, and I learned a lot about gem manufacturing from my father before branching out on my own. We entered this industry when it was in its infancy in terms of trading across borders; this means that our company has been reliably providing gemstones and minerals to the world for longer than nearly all our competitors. Indeed, few have been in business for longer than we have.”

Of course, if we do not change with the times, time will change us,” added Mr. Agarwal. “Therefore, I decided to penetrate foreign markets, such as UK, Italy, the US, and China, because I think it is important to diversify in a global economy to avoid vulnerability to shocks.”
True to their founder’s aim to become a global brand, Navneet Gems & Minerals will be taking their wares to one of the industry’s largest tradeshows in Tucson, USA. Representing some of the best of what Thailand can offer the world, the jeweler will be displaying wholesale gemstones that they manufacture in the heart of Bangkok at the 12-day JOGS Tucson Gem and Jewelry Show that starts on January 26, 2017; this leading Thai company will be showcasing their 24-year-old historic product; topaz products, which include white topaz, Swiss blue topaz, sky blue topaz, pink-coated topaz, mystic topaz, and London blue topaz.
