วง BTS ชนะรางวัล Artist of the Year จากเวที American Music Awards หรือ AMAs 2026 สมกับที่ประกาศลั่นว่าปีนี้จะเป็นปีของบีทีเอส
“มาทำให้ปี 2026 เป็นปีของ BTS กันเถอะ”
ดูเหมือนว่า RM ลีดเดอร์วงบีทีเอส (BTS) จะไม่ได้พูดเล่น ๆ ตอนที่เอ่ยประโยคนี้ออกมา เพราะพวกเขาพิสูจน์ให้เห็นแล้วว่าทำได้จริง ด้วยการคว้ารางวัล Artist of the Year รางวัลสูงสุดในงานประกาศรางวัลด้านดนตรีที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดเวทีหนึ่งของโลกอย่าง American Music Awards มาครองระหว่างการทัวร์คอนเสิร์ตสเกลสเตเดี้ยมรอบโลกที่ตั๋วขายหมดเกลี้ยงทุกที่ที่ไปเยือน
นอกเหนือจากรางวัล Artist of the Year หรือ ศิลปินยอดเยี่ยมแห่งปีแล้ว บีทีเอสยังส่งคลิปการแสดงเพลง Hooligan มาเปิดงาน American Music Awards ประจำปี 2026 ที่ช่วยสร้างบรรยากาศให้งานคึกคักร้อนแรงเต็มไปด้วยเอเนอจี้ทันตาเห็น (สาเหตุที่ไม่ได้ขึ้นเวทีแสดงสดในงานนี้เพราะบีทีเอสเพิ่งเล่นคอนเสิร์ต 2 รอบติดกันไปเมื่อวันก่อน)
เท่านั้นไม่พอ บีทีเอสยังกวาดรางวัลอีก 2 สาขาที่ได้เข้าชิงมาครบหมด เท่ากับว่าพวกเขาได้รับรางวัล American Music Award ไปครองทั้งสิ้น 3 สาขาในปีนี้ ประกอบด้วย Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer (เพลง Swim) และ Best Male K-Pop Artist
ความสำเร็จของฝั่งเอเชียยังไม่หมดเพียงเท่านี้เพราะ Golden เพลงประกอบภาพยนตร์แอนิเมชั่นเรื่อง Kpop Demon Hunters ก็ชนะไป 3 รางวัลเช่นกัน ได้แก่ Song of the Year, Best Vocal Performance และ Best Pop Song
Album of the Year รางวัลใหญ่อีกสาขาตกเป็นของ Sabrina Carpenter จากอัลบั้ม “Man’s Best Friend”
ส่วนรางวัล New Artist of the Year หรือ ศิลปินหน้าใหม่แห่งปี ตกเป็นของวง KATSEYE ท่ามกลางการแข่งขันอย่างดุเดือด เพราะปีนี้น้องใหม่มาแรงทุกศิลปินตั้งแต่ Sombr, Olivia Dean, Ella Langley, Leon Thomas ไปจนถึง Alex Warren
BTS และ KATSEYE พี่น้องร่วมค่าย HYBE จับมือกันกวาดรางวัลจากเวที AMAs ในปีนี้
อย่างไรก็ตาม ถึงแม้ Sombr จะพลาดรางวัลศิลปินหน้าใหม่ แต่เขาได้รางวัลเพลง rock/alternative ยอดเยี่ยมจาก “Back to Friends” และรางวัลอัลบั้ม rock/alternative ยอดเยี่ยมจาก I Hardly Knew Her ไปครอง แถมยังได้เดบิวต์สเตจ ขึ้นโชว์บนเวที AMAs เป็นครั้งแรกในเพลง “Homewrecker”
